Kathy Kirkeby joined KDP in 2022 as an Audit Manager. Kathy has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, including six years with PWB CPAs (now part of Eide Bailly LLP), working with small to mid-sized privately-held businesses in various industries ranging from retail, manufacturers, construction contractors, software, and service.
Kathy focuses on mid-sized privately-held businesses, providing these clients with compliance-based financial statements and proactive, expert guidance – helping clients improve their accounting systems, internal controls and helping them understand the financial outcomes of critical decisions they face.
Her goal is to be an approachable CPA that her clients feel open to calling and asking questions, and do what is in the client’s best interest, while still adhering to professional standards. She strives to work through their questions with them, avoiding technical “jargon” and providing them with “plain English” answers that apply directly to their unique situations. Kathy has been a member of the business development committee for the MN/ND ABC, chapter of the Associated Builders and Contracts association where she helped plan and attend events for merit shop contractors and affiliate members to network and utilize their membership in the association.
Kathy graduated from Augustana University with a B.A. of Accounting. Kathy is a licensed CPA in the States of Oregon, Idaho, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Kathy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Outside the office, Kathy has traveled extensively, visiting all seven continents. She is proud of her Norwegian heritage and enjoys spending time at the lake with her boyfriend
