Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Marla relocated to the Rogue Valley to attend Southern Oregon University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. Marla brings 15 years and a wide range of experience in various areas of accounting/finance. With a focus in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and financing agreements/compliance, Marla’s areas of specialty include not-for-profits, project management, and team development. She was most recently the Assistant Controller for a not-for-profit senior living organization, and in that capacity was responsible for oversight of the financial reporting and annual audits for over 50 entities, as well as providing financial and accounting insight to enable financial stability and growth. Marla has also enjoyed project management in her various roles, with efforts ranging between software implementations, process improvements, and financial reporting optimization. Marla joined KDP’s CFO advisory team in 2020, where she enjoys the individuality and unique experience that each business partnership brings.
When not at the office, Marla enjoys traveling, wellness/nutrition, and various outdoor activities including hiking, paddle boarding, and mountain biking.
